Dan, Congrats on the win, sounds like worst case conditions, glad you were able to pull through. I must admit I really didn't think the 29er would be back in service so fast after last weekend. Sounds like it was the way to go for you.

Way to represent Dan! Great race report also, knowing the course I could really picture everything you described. It is great to see all your hard work pay off so quickly.
Have you ever run the Winding Trails in Farmington Conn?

Winding trails has lots of fast flat doubletrack with short sections of singletrack mixed in throughout. It drains very well and will be dry unless rain is falling the day off the race. There is little climbing and very little technical, making it a friendly course for folks who spend most of there time on the road. This is the best attended event because the course is so easy. It really comes down to lungs and legs, and you've got both.
