Hello, Name is Tim Brown, I spoke to a few of you at the EFTA Promoters meeting about holding a Trials comp at the Pinnacle this year. With the snow melting off, and having just gotten back from an indoor comp in Maryland, my thoughts have turned to my events. I wanted to double check that you were still interested in having me do the event before I started promoting it too much.

Ah a name to go with the account. Tim I wasn't at the EFTA thing and I'm not a trials guy but I sure would love to see something like that close to home. Not sure what the other guys are thinking but I would definately say yes to Trials at the Pinnacle. Ryan p.s. it probably doesn't qualify, but the FatTireB videos coupled with the blow down from last year have inspired me to start a little Pinnacle Playground for those of you with balance...

Thanks. I ran the trials event at Claremont last year, and will be again this year. We will happily encourage anyone to try. Of course it will be during the XC event, so that could limit things, but you are welcome to try a section or 2.

The times I have seen the events during the Claremont event they have been near the road or parking lot taking advantage of natural and man made features. The natural features near spectator areas in Newport might be a challenge but lets use our imagination and if we need to haul some logs and boulders down to the area it won't be a problem, we have the heavy equipment to do it. A permanent setup near the ski jump and ropes course might lend itself well to accessibility for riders and spectators as well as modification in the future.

Tim, Sounds like you need to start putting together a wish list? Ryan

Well, I need to have a look around once the snow gets down a bit more, and see what I am working with, as I have never been over to the race site. I will have a better idea of needed items after a look around. I will be bringing in supplies for some man-made sections (pallets-spools-lumber). Rocks, boulders, an big logs are always great. (old cars are always fun too!) I am hoping to keep the sections close to to the start/Finish so we can keep the race's spectators entertained. But if the terrain and space requires, I can manufacture some easily viewed sections and have some further afield. One other thing I need to know to start advertising in an amount that you would like from my competitors so I can set the entry fee. Thanks.

Last year, at Claremont I was lucky enough to be able to keep my entry fee quite low. I was wondering what the organizers of Pinnacle would like to get from my riders other than the EFTA mandated fees (one day lic. and insurance).

Tim, Whatever you have done with Claremont in the past or plan on doing with them this year will be fine with us. Keep it simple and consistant for your competitors. Brian [img:7c60f52a7e]http://www.team-pinnacle.org/albums/bc_personal/120x90.png[/img:7c60f52a7e]

Cool, thanks. I will get a few bucks for your charity, but I want to keep my status of cheapest trials event. (I only charged $4 last year!!)
