Guys and Gals,

Any interest in helping out with a Snowshoe race for Winter Carnival? Maybe a Mile run either at the Golf Course or Town Forest? Kids and Adults. Give em ribbons, ect and get everyone out for a good time?

I am thinking 2:00 on Sunday of Winter Carnival. The field that our Pinnacle Challenge goes across interests me as a potential site. You can do a couple loops......the big loop around the whole field is .85 miles and you can do a little loop for the kids around a 1/4 mile. You will always see everyone and it is easily markable. Less of a race, more of an event.

Actually the more I think about it......we could make it an orienteering event. For the kids we could hide 3 different trinkets/letters/whatever, give them a map and have them search for these things. For the Adults make it longer and harder.......ya thats what we will do. Just need help setting it up and logistics stuff. All on snowshoes.....

I'll help and/or participate. If anyone is interested in going into the forest before or afterwards for a long snowshoe hike, I will be up for it. Might even have a pair of running shoes to lend, I'll have to check with Laurie.
