Apologies for any duplication. Save the Date! IMBA Trail Care Crew Coming to the Upper Valley The Upper Valley Trails Alliance, in collaboration with the Lebanon Conservation Commission, the City of Lebanon, the Upper Valley Mountain Bike Association, and Eastern Mountain Sports, has arranged for the International Mountain Bicycling Association's Subaru/IMBA Trail Care Crew to visit Lebanon at the end of September (Sept. 27-30). The crew consists of two trail professionals who travel the country meeting, educating and training outdoor enthusiasts. This is an excellent opportunity for land managers, municipal officials, trail maintainers, and anyone interested in mountain biking and recreational opportunities to learn about sustainable trail building (trails that last and require minimal maintenance), improving mountain biking opportunities, minimizing user conflicts, and IMBA itself. Over the four days, there will be several ways to participate: 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27 - Club Care Workshop - How to strengthen your organization to achieve your goals. Place TBD. 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28 - Social Gathering & Slide Show - Meet the crew, talk trails and learn more about IMBA. Salt Hill pub (back room) in downtown Lebanon. 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29 - IMBA Trailbuilding School - Learn IMBA philosophy and techniques for building sustainable single-track trails. After an indoor classroom session in the city council chambers in Lebanon City Hall (the Opera House) in the morning, participants will go into the field to practice on an actual trail project in Lebanon's Boston Lot. Max. 45 people. 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 30 - Ride! In the Meriden, NH, area. Meet at 8:45 in the Plainfield Elementary School parking lot on Bonner Road. Everyone is welcome to participate in any of these activities. Registration is required ONLY for the Saturday Trailbuilding School and can be completed on the IMBA website (http://go.imba.com/lebanon) (note that there is no "www"). Further details will be posted on UVTA's website (www.uvtrails.org). *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*- Upper Valley Trails Alliance P.O.
