The 8th edition of The Pinnacle will be the toughest ever. We are working hard cleaning up the trails and getting them fit for the racers.

We are working on sending everyone up our newest Mountain "Coit". The Elite's rode it last year. It is a long climb, that will test your legs and lungs. A full 2 mile climb. It can be climbed on a singlespeed too. I had a 34 X 20 (Maz's 20) on my 29er. The descent off the top is where we are working to try and find a reasonable route to send the newest Mountain bikers down.

We have a route down already that the Elites will be using as well as Experts and possibly Sports, but we want to see everyone hit this climb, as it is one to remember. The present descent is "steep" to say the least.

We have some new singletrack coming down off the Pinnacle that you will love, as you descend back down to "the plummet" for another lap, or finish.

Course to be marked the week after Great Glen for preriding, and we will ride Wednesday nights until then.

I am a novice and went out to ride the course yesterday. The new descent is pretty challenging, but I was able to manage it. There are two switchback turns that are steep and sharp. I was definitely white knuckling those. Looks like its going to be a great race.

I met David on the course yesterday, he is brand new to mountain biking and has never raced before. If you fall into that category his comments are definitely for you.

As PJ said "The 8th edition of The Pinnacle will be the toughest ever", longer, more technical, and will push you to your limits. We think it's the best course we've put together, what real mountain biking is all about, and hope you will think so too. Don't miss your opportunity to race this epic course!
