anyone riding this race? i guess its a toss up between pats peak and the prouty? is the pats peak xc the 1st annual? i was a spectator at harding hill. I must say i was so surprised at the courtesy of the riders. i was cheering on the riders and they actually responded and thanked me! i'm impressed. most of the riders seemed genuinely happy, including the guy with a squeaky duck horn on his handlebars. i had alot of fun just watching. www.meetup.com/upper-valley-trail-runners/

Sounds like you are hooked Mikey. I don't know much about the Pat's peak race but maybe some of the others do. Several of us are doing The Prouty 100 on road bikes thou. Ryan

Ken just roles his eyes every time I start a sentence with, "In High School I..." Make sure you say something like that to Ken everytime you see him, he loves it. I never competed in college, but that was probably a mistake, 13 years off from exercise is really hard to come back from. In high school I... ... ran a lot. Now I cycle a lot and try to run as well but it's really hard to do both, running usually takes a back seat. Ryan

Ryan was a cycling MONSTER last night. I hope he has the strength to do that during the Prouty. Drafting behind him is great as long as he stays off the brakes. Dan

I seem to be having issues conforming to a nice smooth pace line these days, should have plenty of time to practice during the Prouty thou. Sorry Chris, I'm sure I was the essence of everything you don't like about riding with Team Pinnacle last night. I had fun, I hope everyone else did. Ryan

The XC event looks like a new one for the 24 hours of Pats Peak. Last year they pulled the DH out of their butt and finally got the course wacked out just in time. It was rather fun to watch. I don't know if I would be to excited to race a course hours after a 24-hours of fat tire abuse, but it is a really fun loop to ride. Alone in the woods, who stands to be King?

Ryan, I am pleased to report that you are mistaken. I greatly enjoyed riding with you, Mark, and Dan on Monday night. As I told you, you were very smooth on the flats and rolling hills. Any time you came to a climb and were on the front you did tend to tighten the screws ... but that was fun to witness!!! Have a good ride tomorrow at the Prouty ... be careful to give yourself plenty of time to warm up ... and do not get caught up in trying to go to hard in the beginning. Chris
