Whoever mowed Webb's - we thank you. The course is much better.

I will go over Saturday for a couple of easy laps, and bring a rake for the crunchy sticks that are here and there. If you'd lke to help, or just ride, please post what time is good for you.

5:15am == uncivilized, thats me!! I plan to ride a lap or two to see how my knee feels. If its alright, then I will be racing.

I rode two laps yesterday. As mentioned, it is mowed and looking much better. I will not be riding today, but can show up at any time to help clear, etc. I did notice that there are several areas where you have to watch your head for overhanging branches, etc. I can bring any tools that would help.

When in doubt, ride

Just rode a lap. I have never been there before, so I don't have much to compare to, but it seems dryer than it sounded last year.

Now I just have a wait a couple hours to see how my knee reacts. Its good so far.

I'll be there at about 9:15 for a cleanup lap with a rake and clippers, and then a an easy lap or two on the bike.

If anyone wants to help, and we don't happen to meet at the start, please head out on the course in reverse direction.

Thanks,

The course is ready to race. It should be quite fast. Good luck to all!

Did a lap this morning and I think it should be a fast race. A few muddy spots with the recent rain but not much technical at all. Plenty of places to pass or be passed. Even though there is not much climbing there are a few hills near sections that you would have been just pushing hard on and the downside does not provide much recovery time. You'll be pushing hard the entire race. Once this course gets run in it should be a fun place to play.

Looks like I won't be back in time to watch the race today, good luck to all racing.

I joined 2 new clubs today. The DNF club, and the broken derailleur club. No fun. I was feeling good, passing people and having a good time. Came around a rocky left hand turn and my derailleur blew up. Not sure if something got stuck in it or what, but I got off my bike and it was in pieces.
