Howdy all. Well, for those of you that don't know Newport Fitness is renovating their aerobics area to become a dedicated spinning studio as well as some other things. That's awesome. What sucks is that there won't be any spinning classes for 1-2 months. Not so awesome.

In any event I'm attempting to conduct early morning road rides Monday, Wednesday and Friday weather (and work) permitting for any of my class members and any Team Pinnacle members who would like to join (hint, hint, Ken). We would meet at Newport Middle High School at 5:15AM and head out by 5:20 for 45 minute to an hour rides. These would be no-drop rides tailored more for my class, so I'll hold off on Loverin Hill and Barton Whitney for a week or two.

First ride will be this Friday. Again, anyone interested is invited to come on out.

WOOOHOOOO!!! I'm in. For the hardcore we could also start mixing in some BRICK workouts.

I'll see everyone at 5:15. We have to be on thr road by 5:20. Up route 10 to croydon or grantham and back. Shakedown ride.

The group did a great job this morning. We all made it out to the Croydon fire dept and we all made it to the top of Loverin Hill. It was quickly discovered by a couple that riding on the road can be much harder on your body than riding on a spinning bike, but its worth it to be outside.

Can't wait till Monday.

Okay, so I'm confused. The first post said you were going to hold off on Loverin Hill and Barton Whitney for a week or so, and then the next post said that you did in fact, do Loverin. Your class must have decided to take it on--Bravo! Personally, that hill is my nemesis in life...Julie.

Yeah, that is pretty much what happened. Nick and I were ahead of the rest of the group, so we stopped and waited at the Croydon FD. When the rest of the group got there, we decided to ride half of Loverin and then head back. We all know that none of the class could ride halfway and then turn around. Once you start you will just kick yourself in the rear if you don't finish. So, we finished the climb and then headed home. It was well worth it I think.

Yeah, all of my class members pretty much said that I make them do hills in class, so why should this be any different. Little did they know..... Everyone dug down and stuck it out and I think everyone seemed proud that they did it.

Yeah, Joe knows how to punish us. I am looking forward to some more in the near future.

Oh, I forgot to add that the whole crew climbed Loverin in the saddle.
