Since our ski passes are blacked out over this weekend I got pretty desperate and took the wife and kids for a bike ride down the RR trax toward Claremont. We would have made it farther than Stetson's had it not been for my in laws who joined our outing. Donna donning a turtle neck, heavy wool sweater and winter jacket complete with jeans. I wanted to ask where was her scarf. Lori and I lost the kids and seniors after a lap around town and proceeded on our way to a nice little bike ride, albeit a little chilly. We needed showers to regain blood flow to our extremities. On Sunday I found myself packing up the bikes again coaching the wife back onto the saddle for another go at the RR grade this time in freezing rain. She humored me, toughed it out and had a really fun ride. I had enough duct-tape strategically placed that I stayed quit dry and comfortable. The covered RR bridges made dry rest stops and with such crummy weather there was not another soul to be seen. If this weather keeps up in New England maybe EFTA should think about extending their race schedule. Alone in the woods, who stands to be King?
