On Sunday August 20th we will be having a Clean up and ride day at the Pinnacle. We will meet for Breakfast at 6:00 AM at the Country Kitchen to get some feed before the work. Please reply here if you can make it. For those that can't make breakfast we can meet at 7:00 AM at Newport High School. Items and jobs needed. We will need 3-4 leaf blower dudes. We will need 2 weedwacker dudes for Bear trap, skunk hollow and OUtback. After we are finished 2-3 hours, we ride. Clippers in hand for low branches, ect. I am thinking about including Hail trail and 3 rock back to summer st. extension to add some distance. That should make the lap real close to 10 miles with the field. Thoughts? PJ

Ok, forget the early morning stuff, as it turns out I actually have a previous engagement and won't be able to help that weekend. I will however be around to help with the race and will be working on the other trail project you mentioned. Also got a couple other ideas out in that area but time will tell when I get a chance to work on them. Ryan

OK, Country Kitchen is closed at 6AM, so we can meet at Newport High School at 7AM. If it is pouring we can eat pancakes at Airport and reschedule. If its light rain and workable weather we can get the job done in a hurry. Outback and Coit are the only trails in need of attention. Brian Can you bring the green arrows and a sharpie? PJ

Will do. Probably will not be riding after the work is complete. [img:7c60f52a7e]http://www.team-pinnacle.org/albums/bc_personal/120x90.png[/img:7c60f52a7e]

The upper half of Outback and the lower 1/3 of Coit are now weedwacked (actually scythed, if that's a word) and trimmed. Met several pre-riders, all were very happy with the course. Let's hope the rain is minimal. MG

Trail work postponed this morning. Rain as you can see. I may go out this afternoon unless a road ride calls me. Thanks Gurney for the jumpstart. PJ

I will probably head up later this afternoon to check out the bypass discussed above and arrow the Elite section. [img:7c60f52a7e]http://www.team-pinnacle.org/albums/bc_personal/120x90.png[/img:7c60f52a7e]

I was disappointed by the heavy rain yesterday morning as I had already spent my *bike riding/racing* points by asking for permission to help out with trail work for the pinnacle. I am available today through Wednesday during the day or in the evening tonight or Wednesday. Please let me know when you are heading out to do some work or let me know what needs doing [but be forewarned ... if you let me out there alone you might find the trail mysteriously became wider and/or smoother in places ... :) ]. Chris
