WE are looking for a few volunteers for this years edition of The Pinnacle Challenge... Woods marshals mainly, sweep, Saturday afternoon set-up, perhaps some timing? If you can do one of these things, please let me know. Also as an aside, it is extremely likely this will be the last edition of THe Pinnacle Challenge proper... So if you were to ever want to engage in racing the event solo or on a team, this is the year to do so. Don't wait until next year as the race will not be in existence in this form. SPeaking of next year.. we are still going to retain the name "The Pinnacle Challenge" and are working on a 50K Ultra run, 1/2 Marathon, and Relay. The plan is to start from Claremont run on the rail trail to Newport, and then spend 2 laps in the town forest.. Total distance to be 50K or 31.1 miles.. You can do it solo, or on a relay team. All for now... PJ

Not sure if Chris Martin was serious when he asked me if I would like to race the Mountain Bike leg for the Rotary Team but I am planning on doing that. I will be available to help setup and what not before and after the race. Probably help with Baklava Blow Out Sat morning. Ryan

I will be around for the normal duties minus road run and mountain bike sweep. Need someone to step into those duties for me so I can do the bike legs. Pretty simple, just follow last place on the road run and take down arrows along the way. Then follow last place on the mountain bike leg and swap a couple arrows in preparation for the trail run leg. I should be available to sweep the road ride and trail run. I spoke with Nancy Dickerman today--I have been assigned to timing. I hope to be able to take pre-race pictures and then be spelled to take some of the mid-race stuff. I will bring a chair and LOTS of layers of clothes. I plan to be there around 8:30am. If you need me somewhere else, that's fine with me too. See you Sunday if not before.
