Anyone intertested in making a trip north to Kingdom Trails on labor day instead of the LAMB ride this year? Looks like Dana, Tyler and me would be able to make the trip. And the general store is open again making all our favorite sandwiches. New trail to check out over by Tap N die also. Post up if interested. Ah...you figure the "labor day" in the original message would have been enough, but apparently not. Yeah, that could work for me.

I will check in with the KT folks later this week on trail conditions, make sure it will be worth the trip. [img:7c60f52a7e]http://www.team-pinnacle.org/albums/bc_personal/120x90.png[/img:7c60f52a7e]

Looks like Kingdom trails survived Irene with no big issues, got about the same amount of rain as we did. Should be good after a week of drying and cleaning up. All the roads to get there seem fine also. The LAMB ride looks to be a different story, looks like it is a good thing we did not plan on going over there this week. FYI, not every road with damage is listed on the VT 511 website. I suspect Brian is right and the route to Kingdom Trails will be open but everything west and south of Kingdom is devastated. We drove through the heart of VT last night on the way home from Niagara Falls and barely got through. After a 3.5 hour delay / reroute in NY around a 38 mile stretch of the I-90 west of Albany (and every other road near it) closed due to flooding, it really sucked when we hit a big section of Rt 11 in VT closed even though it wasn't listed on the VT 511 website. A normal 8 hour trip took 12 hours. Eastern NY and VT got hit hard with flooding, it's going to take them years to rebuild from this storm. Ryan

From Kingdom trails, "Just headed out for a ride on Darling Hill- think I rode through a puddle... once! We were very lucky to have weathered the storm so well." Plan on departing 7:00 AM from the rec, or meet us in the main KT parking lot at 9:00am. I will have the van and can handle up to 5 passengers. So far we have: Brian (the driver) Currier Tyler (goes too fast up the hills) Currier PJ (looking for Moab miles) Lovely Dana (no riding over piles of gravel please) Waterman Dan (if the baby stays in) O'Neil Aaron (what day is Labor day on this year?) Brandt Keith (remember me?) Fasano Becky (the token female) Bates Matt (please don't get hurt on this trip) Christie Anyone else?? Jason, Weekend was my only option this year, saving my vacation time for a trip out west in October. [img:7c60f52a7e]http://www.team-pinnacle.org/albums/bc_personal/120x90.png[/img:7c60f52a7e]

What is the game plan? Looks like rain for Monday. About 50-60% chance thunderstorms for St Johnsbury Vt. http://www.weather.com/weather/hourbyhour/USVT0208?begHour=21&begDay=247#Mon,%20Sep%205

My plan is to ride, maybe get wet. Although if the radar looks nasty at 6am tomorrow I could change my mind. If it looks bad north but not so bad south in the morning, could switch to Bear Brook. [img:7c60f52a7e]http://www.team-pinnacle.org/albums/bc_personal/120x90.png[/img:7c60f52a7e]

We should see what it looks like in the morning as long as everyone is on board. I don't mind a little rain, but can do without a flash flood. I rather ride KT, but Bear Brook is OK.

I'm going to miss the ride tomorrow. I'm up in Vt now and they are calling for heavy rain, but it might not hit Burke until mid day so you might be ok. Have fun if u end up going to bear brook.

Looks like traveling southeast would be better than northwest today. Would have less invested in the trip if it ends up being a washout. I will be down at the rec at 7:00 and we can decide from there. If nobody shows up I will go back to bed. Bring a towel, can go for a swim if we end up at Bear Brook. Great time with Becky, Tyler, Brian, Dan and PJ. Two hours of riding with no rain, an hour or so with rain and a dip in the river at the end to wash off the mud (Humans and bikes)
