Today Brian experienced something new while on our Springfield loop ride. Both of us agree that we were really flying down the hill that passes the wood burner in Georges Mills. But little did we know that additional air traffic in the area would hinder our grand efforts of setting a new time for around the loop. We are not sure if someone called the DART helicopter to pick us up at the bottom of the hill or if it was just a chance meeting. In any case twrilling blades and uniformed public servants put us in a holding pattern, This delay caused many complaints from the 2 passengers concerned about our ETA. Future rides should include the filing of a flight plan to avoid these delays.
