A friend and I are planning on riding from Grantham to Tele Atlas some day within the next 2-3 weeks. Looking at some of the hills, there is no way I am going to do this on a MTB. Would anyone be willing to let me borrow there road bike for the day?

Brian, maybe you would be interested in riding with us since you work out in this direction also??

I have done the ride from Newport to Hanover and vice-versa a few times, both on mtb and road bike. The ride north is not bad, the hills are all fairly moderate grades. The trip south you have to contend with the hard side of Eastman hill. If you are on a road bike you will end up walking this hill.

So would you recommend that I stick to a MTB and maybe just put slicks on it?
