This is how the Pinnacle Tough Mudders train: http://www.team-pinnacle.org/gallery.php?query=base&gnav=264 A [b:f9ba187c35]HUGE[/b:f9ba187c35] thank you goes out to the Pinnacle Tough Mudders!!! Their training exercise / community service project made a HUGE dent today in the new Big Berm project on the Eastside trail in the Newport Town Forest. Kudos to PJ for delivering a large work force to the Town Forest by combining race training with trail work (thank you). In the tradition of Go Big or Go Home, a new berm project is underway for the Eastside trail, due to be completed in plenty of time for the Six in the Stix trail run and Pinnacle Mtb race weekend. Many hours and contributions to this project had already been made but what the project really needed was an infusion of fresh bodies to propel the progress to the next level. Today the Tough Mudders brought their "A" game and hammered the sub-structure home. A little massaging around the edges and the rock wall sub-structure for this berm will be complete leaving just one last step, back-filling with dirt to create the ride surface. The pictures don't really do the magnitude of their efforts justice.
