This is the plan for the weekend of Friday April 29 ,Saturday the 30th and Sunday May 1 ([b:64804d91b6]NOTE: Dates have Changed since this posting to May 13-15[/b:64804d91b6]). Note that my earlier "Save the Date" for the following week was trashed because of Mother's day and other portents of doom. Unless there is an overwhelming objection we will stick to the new dates. We will bike ride to Waterville on Fri to a Condo(s) at Village Condominiums http://www.villagecondo.com/ ; meals at the condo; a hike on Sat (the Valley is surrounded by five 4,000ft's and several great shorter loop trails) (last year part of our group climbed Osceola and the rest did the Welch-Dickey Loop) ; use of the Waterville facilities including the pool and fitness center if the ride isn't enough for you and return bike ride Sunday. The ultimate size of the group will determine the size of the accommodations. Re cost: Last year the cost was $50 per person for accommodations and I expect that it will be close to that this year. In addition, everyone either contributed food or SAG gas or paid some cash. We had Fri Lasagna , Saturday ribs and two great breakfasts. There was also some beer and Jello Shots involved. We will have SAG wagons so all riding , eating, hiking and drinking can be tailored to your desires/abilities. The group will probably be together most of the time but one could certainly mix and match activities so you could, for instance, elect to ride up and back on Sat/Sun and scrap the hike. In 2010 we broke into fast and not-so-fast groups. This is the same weekend that "The Killer Bees" are riding from Concord. If you have a non-cycling partner that works too because we will need a couple of SAG drivers. Once a cast of characters takes shape I will request that payment be made to me so we can reserve the units. Michael R. Feeney, Esq. Feeney Law Offices 6 North Main Street P.O.
