Team Pinnacle, though lightly represented, put on an impressive performance at this years Watershed Wahoo. The rain held off until the race was over, so we had very dry conditions. The dry trails (roads) combined with the cool temperatures lead to some very fast racing. Izi Shim, originally from Hawaii and now living in Hanover, represtented Team Pinnacle as the newest Hypertherm mountain bike racer. This was her first race and she dominated the Novice Senior category. Way to go Izi! Moving up to the sport class, it was yet another victory. This time it was Nathan Richer taking home the top hardware in the Vet I class. This was no small feat as over 30 riders were at the start line, but none were up to the challenge that Nathan presented. Yours truly was the only member not to bring home any hardware, but that does not mean I was not happy. After a somewhat lethargic first two laps, I was able to maintain a decent pace a pick off quite a few fading racers in the next two laps and ended up seventh. The highlight of the race was chasing down the guy in front of me on the last hill, then taking part in a flat out sprint to the finish only to find out we were not in the same class. In the end I was three minutes off the pace, so the podium is in sight, but it going to require a bit more training to get there. Next up is the Sunapee Road race and the Clough challenge. See you on the trails, Brian [img:7c60f52a7e]http://www.team-pinnacle.org/albums/bc_personal/120x90.png[/img:7c60f52a7e]
