Welcome Mike! Are you new to the area or just new to these forums?

Thank you very much. I look forward to riding with you guys. Headed out tonight to do a Newbury loop of 24 miles or so. I hope we don't get blown around too much.

In response to JDM's question - I have been in Newport about 18 years. I am new to these forums and new to road biking. I went for my first ride last week and really enjoyed it! Thank you Mike and Catherine Feeney for inviting me and teaching me the ropes. I have been spinning with Sandy Ipp all winter - she is awesome!

Last night 10 us of rode 25 miles and brought the new guy, Mike Hammond, with us. Well, at the end of the ride climbing back into town through the Newbury cut he dropped all of us. I think he needs to ride with all of you big boys.
