Tentatively I am planning to snowshoe on Wed night if it doesn't rain. Weather is looking mighty sketchy over next few days snow/rain/sleet/snow they really don't know as far as I can tell. If it's not raining and we still have snow I plan to snowshoe. Not sure what after snowshoe food will be at this time. Ryan

I'm on the fence. The weather/conditions aren't very inspiring, but I do like to play out side....

Is anyone still thinking about coming tonight? It is sounding like a strong possibility of rain tonight but I have no idea what that means or if it will happen. I have no interest in snowshoeing in the rain but have a huge interest in making sure I get some tracks in the biggest snowfall of the winter before it's ALL gone. If there is no interest in tonight, I'm going to hit it earlier, so let me know. Ryan

I hear the rain shouldn't happen until after 8pm tonight. If its not raining at 5pm when I get home, then I am still interested in going out. I may leave work early to clean up my driveway to get it done before the rain hits. Then still making it out in the woods. I'll keep you posted. Dana

Thanks Dana, that's promising info. If the rain is going to hold off until 8 that would be good. Ryan

I won't be there tonight either. There is a possibility that Theresa might show up. -- Ken "If you brake, you don't win." Racer Mario Cipollini

Ok, good to know. Fred Heineman has also expressed interest. Latest forecast is rain and snow mix until 7pm, then rain. I'm thinking we might just get one in tonight before any appreciable rain comes, cross your fingers. I did an hour at lunch to ensure I didn't miss out on this event. There is about 10 inches of HEAVY snow out there and more still falling at the moment. Ryan

I just finished working my snowblower. It grunted the whole way. I'll be there.

Well boys, you missed out on a truely banner snowshoe last night. Weather held out and Dana, Fred, and myself experienced some of the deepest snow conditions of the season. A solid 12 inches of fresh wet heavy snow, a new line up Coit, a steep descent, and 24-36 inches of snow on the North side. Fred easily graduated to Advanced Snowshoeing while Fred & Dana aka "The Young Guys" put a hurting on me. It was unbelievable, too bad you couldn't make it. Ryan

I was ripping tele turns down Ragged all afternoon and was too pooped to come snowshoeing afterwards. Hopefully some of this rain will turn back to snow so we'll still have something to play in next week...
