I did the local loop referenced above today, but I must have screwed up because I ended up with 45 miles instead of 56. I think I went left in Lempster when I should have stayed straight. Good ride nonetheless. The bad news is that I almost got run over by an old lady, and I got a flat in Claremont. I had to dodge some major roadkill on Route 11 in Claremont also. AND...a manure truck went by me depositing liquid manure on the highway right in the "bike path" area on NH 2nd Turnpike. I had the option of going out into the lane where there was traffic, or let the liquid manure deposited on the highway splash up on my back. Nice options! The climbs were great and I really enjoyed Blueburry Ridge Road and (most) of 2nd NH Turnpike. I think I almost got killed probably twice...which is not too bad for our aging population. Peace out. Brian When in doubt, ride
