This is a proposal up for discussion.... First we should start it early, so we can get the benefits of the fitness it will bring. I am thinking mid to end of May. Prologue: 9.2 route 10 time trial Stage 1: Lake Sunapee Loop 22miles- group ride w/drops Stage 2: 1 Lap Pinnacle Bike course 6 miles Stage 3: Springfield Loop 30 miles Stage 4/5 Coit Climb + Coit Downhill to finish (chinese downhill) Stage 6/7 Oak Street Circuit race (3 laps) and Loverin Hill Stage 8: Goshen Loop 20 miles If you miss a group ride, you must record a time trial, or take the slowest time and add 30 seconds. For each of the time trial events you have a couple weeks to complete. As for the group rides, they will go off on schedule.... Other loops recieving votes: Sir Climbs alot -1, 4 gaps- 1, Mt. Sunapee climb-1, 50 meter dash-1 PJ

After riding today (Sunday) the Coit Downhill stage may need a revision. We rode Coit South, to Salem's Lot, Over to Eastside, Couch, Snake Alley, South Boundary, Trapper, then down ski jump. Probably one of the best rides going. There was 4 votes for that being the Downhill section as opposed to find your own way. What say others? PJ

That is a great route to ride, no doubt, but, it's not really a downhill. There would be well over a mile of uphill / rolling terrain between the first downhill and the second. I need all the downhill I can get, this added uphill is taking away my cookie advantage. Darn it, I've been working very hard to get just the right belly for the downhill. How was the transition from Coit South to Salem's Lot? It was just a quicky the day it got cleaned, I suspect it could use a little work. Ryan

tranny was fine smooth nicely, the wet spot is still drying but getting there on Salems Lot. Understand on the uphill, but man that route is fun. Way more fun than the long moderate climb up Summer street. I think you still get the mostly downhhill advantage as Eastside rides like a downhill if you go fast enough. Probably 15 minutes that way as opposed to 8 or so the other way. P

I agree as well that that would be a nice ride down from the top. However, it does add more flat and/or uphill distance taking away from a downhiller's advantage. There will already be some uphill which does not make it a true downhill course. Besides, we'll being riding Eastside in the XC stage. I vote against it for the downhill as I already had plans for the fastest route down, in which South Side and Eastside were not included in those plans. Everyone has their own piece of this stage series that will rank them high and I think downhillers should maintain their piece. Just my own personal opinion - Thanks, Dana

Good enough, she will stay as she is........first man down. Its funny, I happened to be riding with 3 skinny guys who all gave me warm fuzzies. Maybe they were lobbying for some extra flat distance. PJ

I like PJ's idea but will go along with Dana and Ryan as long as I can strap a box of bread crumbs onto their water packs so I can follow the trail down.
