I am glad you mentioned thank you's.......... We had a whole host of unsung hero's, ecspecially from the Rotary Club, who did a ton of work to make it happen. I would like to give a few shout outs in Top 10 Fashion ( I may add a few ). And I may miss a few so I hold my right to edit as needed. [b:a0c66f06cc]11[/b:a0c66f06cc]. Town of Newport, Sponsors and Community- We are lucky to have all the support we do, and the terrain to play on. [b:a0c66f06cc]10.[/b:a0c66f06cc] The Newport Rotary Club- They always come through with many volunteers who step it up race day and make for light work with many hands. [b:a0c66f06cc]9.[/b:a0c66f06cc] Team Pinnacle- We had over a dozen volunteers and 26 racers, that's a pretty good showing, and had a good amount of help cleaning up after a grueling race. [b:a0c66f06cc]8[/b:a0c66f06cc]. Aaron Brandt- Supersweeper that allowed both Brian and I to race without worry of the course arrow munchkins. [b:a0c66f06cc]7.[/b:a0c66f06cc] Dana Waterman- Transition brain, clean up, Dough for the payouts. Raced hard, crashed, and never mentioned it was his birthday. The humblest man I know. [b:a0c66f06cc]6.[/b:a0c66f06cc] Ella Casey, Chris Martin, Dave McCrillis- From Big sponsors, to handling shirts, food, and the transition area. Their big effort was not unnoticed. [b:a0c66f06cc]5. [/b:a0c66f06cc] Al Soucy- Unknown soldier. He was out on the streets at 5AM, Had EMS/Police all ready to go. Orchestrated 1000 cones to music without batting an eyelash. [b:a0c66f06cc]4.[/b:a0c66f06cc] Dan and Helen O'neill- They raced in the co-ed duo picture division and came in first place. Pictures up within a day for all the racers to remind them of the great day we had! [b:a0c66f06cc]3.[/b:a0c66f06cc] Ryan O'Brien- equally stellar in his performance on the website and results. and you know that Eastside trail isn't half bad either. [b:a0c66f06cc]2.[/b:a0c66f06cc] Brian Currier- First rate man. Excellent stuff. You know how much he does. nuff said. [b:a0c66f06cc]1.[/b:a0c66f06cc] Nancy Dickerman- If you guys knew how much this lady did, you would be astonished. Handling getting volunteers, registration. Coordinating your chip and making sure it matched your number. She is totally organized and it shows. and a big thank you goes to the racers who showed up. Heck in wouldn't quite be the same if noone showed up. Keep on coming and tell your friends. So the way I look at, surround yourself with these type of people and you don't have to do much work yourself.......and can even race. Thanks all. PJ
