Less than a month away (27 days). Randy is slowly getting better (hip injury) and should be OK by then, so we will definitely be a two person team (as apposed to me competing solo 50&over). Looks like there will be some good competition this year.

Dan, I sure hope that you heal by the PC, but I hope that if anyone (super secret) replaces you, that they still provide the same challenge. Now, is that the best overall team time or best two person team time or "the best time overall", that you mention. I suggest that runners and bikers looking for teammates, post up here. I know that I have spoken with a couple of athletes who said they would oblige if someone was willing. Your post may entice someone to participate.

Dana I think this team will take best overall. It will be a two man team. You'll figure it out before the event and it won't include me this year. I'll be out there in the woods cheering you on and moving arrows around. Dan

Your teasing us Dan. Maybe I should extend my season a couple weeks to challenge this person. [img:7c60f52a7e]http://www.team-pinnacle.org/albums/bc_personal/120x90.png[/img:7c60f52a7e]

Dan, the rest of us are here just to fill in the void from second to last. :D Its always fun to have someone to chase. As for you being on the course, now I'm concerned about objects in places where they shouldn't be on the trail. Since I know the course I'm not going follow arrows, but it could be a disadvantage to me if they shorten it. Brian, that would be cool! I "think" there is one fast runner among us who would be willing to participate. I personally would like to see the two of you compete as a team. I'm sure we can find someone for event sweeper. Mark, that was a pretty good time on the road course last night. If you rode the MTB course just before the road ride, I'll change from "pretty good" to "very impressive!"

Dana no need to worry about trail obstacles I like seeing old guys to win. And Brian I have seen this secret rider perform before, he is good. Don't take this too personal but I don't think you have ever gone faster than him.

OUCH!!! Brian, I think Dan just threw down the gauntlet. Me I'm just going for the minimalist approach this year, cookies, 12oz curls, and remote control repeats. Ryan

I'm pretty much burned out on the racing scene for this year. Besides, I would not want to hurt this "studs" feelings. [img:7c60f52a7e]http://www.team-pinnacle.org/albums/bc_personal/120x90.png[/img:7c60f52a7e]

OH, thanks Dan. I crash enough as it is. My head just started hurting from the head dive I took in the last seconds of the KT ride. Although my face and knees healed quickly, my chest and rib pain has subsided, and my wrists are back to full movement. How's your's? Ryan, so that's where you've been on Tues and Weds. I thought you were secretly training, that confirms it.

Sounds like fun guys...but I am supposed to be in church! Could I go to church the day before...? Maybe. Am I getting out of shape? Yes. Let me know how despirate you are for a rider (road or mtb), and I will talk to the Lord our God, and my wife :D . Don't forget...I am not that speedy! When in doubt, ride

Alright! Finally someone stepping it up with the trash talk  Looks like the super secret/Martin team will have competition for the overall with the arrival of the Javy/Sandy/et al team. Don't forget High Speed Vomit from last year, if they return. There is some good competition in the local Co-ed teams this year. So far the weather looks 8) good.

You want trash talk.........? The Hip Hop Pickle will defy all odds. Waterman Clan- too old, Martin and his stud- Too local, O'neill- Hurt (as usual), Gurney- too nervous, Richer/Richer- Let's see, too trained, Team Avery- Too green, Team Kiniry- too flatland, O'Brien- too much trail work, Collins- Too Family, Ippedico- Too strong, Massa- Too fast. Watch out for the Hip Hop Pickle..... Don't get passed by the green pickle or you will be sorry. Signed Friend of the Pickle

WOW, that was a profound assessment by the "Friend of the Pickle," the Pickle, who BTW I found out yesterday was only recruited a day or so ago. I raise your "too old" to "too NOT fit." I remember two years ago a team with the Pickle stomped H2OMen. This year I see it different, as Javy stated earlier, "Game On."

Ah we finally hear from Oneill's Ringer. Too bad Brian's not racing, he's the fastest man on the Pinnacle, plus he know's all the short cuts, well maybe not all of them, I know a few and I ain't tellin. Salem's Lot is just subdifuse for the real traps I've set up out there, riders beware!!! Ryan

Sandy and I can maybe take some photos as we race, but, of course, if you would like some pictures of fellow racer, we will have to crank our heads around backwards to get them. Or we could just get them all coming into the finish line. Peace out. When in doubt, ride

Javy, I will yell when I am 400 meters away from passing you, that will give you 2 or 3 seconds to get the camera ready, provided I don't outrun the speed of sound. Signed member of the Pickle MTB camps 2008.

Javy, You could still be in the Road Bike to Trail Run transition when h2oman is crossing the the finish line, so you're right just "crank your head around backwards" and snap his picture. :P I'd better take that back, you'll probably stomp us into the ground...

Ya, how about that! On a serious note, TP will be out blowing leaves off the MTB and running trails on Friday (don't run them over if you're doing a pre-ride), namely Brian, PJ and perhaps Nathan and Ryan. Grensvilles Eastside looks beautiful this time of year, but riding it fast with the leaf coverage makes it hard to follow the trail. Although when the guys are done clearing the path, it will be an excellent ride for this year's challenge. Thanks, Dana The Loverin loop has been repaved and will be fast coming back from the top. Overall, this years whole course will be at its best. This year's event looks to be exciting with so much local competition. On a less serious note, I hope most of you are chasing me around the course. GOOD LUCK

too green huh, well, well lets see .... team Avery will be the force to watch. PJs team of closet trainers will be interesting, the "Challenge" is a big jump from pushing lawnmowers, answering phones, and baby carriages... PJ cant carry them all. H2O was looking a little tired the last time I saw them. The Richers will do well if they can stay paced, The "FLAT-LANDERS" Ben & Tammy are too confident... this will be a good lesson in humility for them...,as for Dans "Ringer" and the rest of you ...I'll talk to you tommorow... I'll be the one yelling " Passing " Have fun and be safe!

Nice Jason, NICE! Fattireb, just show up to the Pinnacle at 8am Sunday, fill out a form, pay some cash, and you are gauranteed 2.5+- hours of fun. Lots of locals this year. If you need a road bike post up, someone may be able to provide one. If not, I have a set of skinny 26 inchers that proved fast the first year we did this. Ryan
