I'm planning on doing weekly runs up Mt. Sunapee, and if my legs permit, going up the access road as a time trial every other week. I'm going to shoot for Thursdays at 5:45.... but I make no promises. If anyone's interested in coming along for the pain, just let me know. Happy Trails, Adam

Sounds interesting, lets talk on Tuesday nights trail run, I'll be there, but Lori has work commitments. Alone in the woods, who stands to be King?

Unfortunately I will not make Tonight's run. I don't think Randy will make it due to injury. Thursday is out this week, because I'll be doing some track work for NH Senior Games this weekend. I may consider a few hill climbs in the coming weeks though.

I'll be leaving from the lower parking lot (by the access Rd. gate) at 5:45. No time trial this week. Route to be: access rd - rim trail - newbury trail - lake solitude - summit - trail down the backside then slabbing back towards the main lodge (i dont know the name). Should take around 1:30 (+/- 10min). Happy Trails, -Adam

Sounds like fun Adam. Can't make it today but would love to run that route with you another time. Ryan

Welp, I'm a jerk. I'm actually bailing on Sunapee this Thursday. I did a 3hour run on Monday that has pretty well wrecked me, or at least that's my excuse. That and something about a poker game... I'll be there next week though. No excuses. Happy Trails, -Adam

I won't be there this week. Have to rest up for the 4 Gap LAMB ride on the 1st. Maybe the week after.

I'll be there at 5:45. Probably same course as last time (i.e. no time trial... unless someone wants to talk me into it.)

Adam, I need to rest for Monday as well, so won't be able to make it this week. Haven't been running in the last week due to knee and heel issues but hope to get back to running in the next 1-2 weeks. Ryan

Interested in how long it did take you get to the top on foot, Adam? You no doubt were faster than my hike-a-bike time, even with the little extra distance.

nothing to gawk at here gentlemen...sorry to disappoint. went thru the sunbowl splitting 10:50 (perhaps a tad too quick), but was determined to "run" the whole way. at about 21min my legs were determined to make me stop and sit down... we compromised and i hiked the next pitch. i stumbled over the crest of that last steep climb under the lift in a hair under 27 and thought to myself "gosh, maybe i'll break 28!" i made a final push... eternity passed....twice... and i finally hit the deck at 28:20. looks like i need to get stronger. We stop our times at the lattice wall, which is several seconds shy of the lodge steps. Sounds like your run portion time was close to mine. I was 9:44 (bike) at first steep dirt section, then 17:01 to the lattice.

I gotta get out there.......only been once this year and went for 30 minutes but didn't make the top, but was close. Dana, you beat my time by too much.........I wanted a gradual reduction in time. PJ

PJ, you still have the best bike time to the top. Poor description of my attempt (hike-a-bike). I actually MTB'd to the bowl and dropped my bike at the first really steep part on dirt, then ran (fast walk) to the top. As far as I know, you and Dan are the only two on the list to take your bikes with you to the top.
