Good luck all on the Prouty. Currier is off for the Ultimate in the Morning and a slew of us riding for our own reasons will be off on Saturday. May you all ride your pace and enjoy your ride.

The video segments PJ is talking about were shot back in April when many members from the Sunapee/S&W Sports/Continental Paving Racing team did the pre-ride for the Manchester to Hanover leg. The 30 second segment has been running on WMUR (NH ABC Affiliate) and WPTZ (VT NBC Affiliate). My family got quite a kick out of seeing it for the first time during the Olympic Gymnastics Trials back a month or so ago.

While I have not figured out the specific shot PJ is talking about, a number of them share a common feature that makes me think we must have been riding in another country!

I spent yesterday putting up the signs for the Manchester to Hanover leg of the Ultimate Prouty ... to bad I could not do it from the bike ... instead I put 220 miles on the car!

While it would be great to be joining you guys this weekend, I will be racing in Mass and Conn on Saturday and Sunday. Last night was the beginning of my annual midsummer racing extravaganza, which includes races on the following dates: July 10, July 12 (2 fields), July 13 (2 fields), July 15, July 16, July 17, July 19 (2 fields), July 20.

Good luck on the Prouty and at the Pinnacle!

Congrats to all who took part in the Prouty!

As a competetive cyclist who thinks riding 100 miles is "normal", it is sometimes easy to forget that it is not normal and is a great accomplishment. I rode in astonishment seeing people pushing way beyond their normal limits for such a great cause. For them it was not just another ride, it was a huge physical and mental challenge they will remember for a lifetime, not just until the next ride. The look of accomplishment as people crossed under the balloons was contagious. Nobody was worried about max heartrate or average speed, they were just proud of what they had done and why they had done it. It was a true honor to ride with all of you.

Prouty On!

I would like to echo Brian's comments and add that this years Prouty was an extraordinary event to be a part of. All the support and contributions from friends and relatives really made it special. A big thank you to all of you that rode with me and supported this wonderful cause. I'll be back next year.
