Planning on long ride Sunday 80+- miles would really like some company on this one. Good Prouty Preparation. Route and time to be determined but likely to include some big climbs. Ryan

I'm thinking 10am departure from my house, plan on a 5 hour ride +- and about 75 miles. Here is the loop I have in mind: http://www.team-pinnacle.org/local-loops/loop.php?loopID=302®ion=9&sport=1 Loop proper is about 4500 vertical of climbing with some really steep hills and some really big hills but depending on the strength of the group we could easily cut out a bit of the climbing without loosing too much mileage. Time and loop are flexible but want to get in a good long ride. Any takers? Ryan

You weren't kidding about getting all your Proudy training one week prior. Looks like a great figure 8 ride Ryan and I'd love to join you, but I'll be racing Webb's this morning. Have a blast. Alone in the woods, who stands to be King?

Ride was fun. It was just Javy & I for 5 hours in the saddle. It was a beautiful day to be on the road with good company. Thank you Brian for riding with me, it was very impressive to see you hang tough through all 75 miles and 4500 vertical on your first long road ride. Ryan

Good times! Thanks to Ryan for the Gu supply that I did not think was needed...boy was I wrong! Rockboy forgot to mention that there was 4500 feet of descent which helped a lot! After-ride bike inspection revealed a slightly rubbing back brake...this explains the difficulty of all that climbing...correct? :D Thanks for the ride Ryan! When in doubt, ride

After I rode through that ?wet tar? I swear my rear tire's rolling resistance went way up on the climbs, but I didn't seem to have any trouble on the downhills... go figure :) I wasn't really happy when we got to the Road Closed sign, but was real happy when a Blackberry with map materialized out of Brian's pouch to clarify the route. I might have to get myself one of those new fangled devices, either that or make sure I have Brian along on all my long rides :D Ryan

My new TomTom is about the size of a BlackBerry. Maybe I should make sure to bring that on long rides from now on. "If you brake, you don't win." Racer Mario Cipollini
