1. Trails are coming along nicely, Wednesday night group rides are scheduled to begin May 3.

2. I personally would not recommend the Corbin loop until later in the summer. Many big puddles this time of year.

3. Can't help you with this one.

Cycledepot may be able to direct you for used MTB bike, or a new last years model that is on sale.

We usually do the Corbin loop once a year. Stay tuned as we will announce that ride when it happens. The Gracious Cornish MTB crew knows the way.

In regards to the Corbin Loop, I'm with Brian on this one but would take it one step further, I wouldn't even think about doing it for at least another month, there are a lot of bogs and huge puddles along the route. I know the way more or less, but don't think I'd attempt to tell you how to navigate at this time, there are quite a few turns, and it's over 30 miles if you get it right the first time. I know most of it quite well but am a little fuzzy on a couple miles section in Cornish/Cornish flat area where you have the option of taking dirt roads or a single track. Count on it taking at least 4.5 hours if you don't have any mechanicals, if your energy level holds strong, and you really hump it, otherwise potentially a lot longer.

The Cornish MTB's know it well and do it at least twice a year usually at night, once on or around the summer Solstice (i.e. the longest day of the year) and usually once in the fall, lights generally required for both rides. In addition many others get together including Team Pinnacle and do a weekend day ride around the Park.

If you and or others are up for an adventure I'd be happy to show you the way some time.

I'd agree with the others...I did the Corbin loop last Fall after some rain, and it was a mudfest with huge bog areas where you have to hike-a-bike. Best to wait until late June/early July.

Of course - I still had a smile on my face!

Thanks for all of the beta...sounds like i'm waiting a bit. I was hoping our dry winter/spring might have made it doable but looks like this week will nix that idea.
