OK, I can't whine to my wife, she is 8 months pregnant. I would try to whine to my mom, but she is dealing with her mom. You can't complain to your dad, that is just not right so here goes.......... My Stinking Ankle won't heal, and I am not happy about it. 2 MRI's, 2 X-rays, 2 different doctors, Surgery, physical therapy, just ain't doing it. Second Doc says work it for a month and if it doesn't work right, come scope it again. Why on Earth would I complain about this trivial inconvenience, when other folks have much pressing matters, I don't know. I just needed to. That being said, I wish for the New Year to bring the following: (this is bike/team pinnacle related, of course I wish for prosperity, health, peace on earth and all that stuff) 1. Snow for Nathan 2. A new MTB bike for Glenn 3. 4 teams going to Great Glen 4. Balls enough to jump my bike more than 2 feet 5. Fitness enough to keep Dan within eye distance 6. Pinnacle Stage race #2 with more stages, more players 7. One dry ride around Moody Park 8. Wife back in the saddle 9. Participate in a new race, with new challenges 10. Group rides, Group Trail days, Kingdom trails and a Road Epic. Thanks, I feel better.....what's your top 10? PJ

Great, just great. Kids have been whining because I have not been spending every waking moment playing with them and all their new freakin' toys. Wife has been whining about wanting a new camera only days after witnessing my bank account being pillaged by Mickey Mouse and Santa Claus in consecutive weeks. My computor illiterate parents have been whining becuase their son, who for some reason they believe is the next coming of Bill Gates, has not helped them setup their new system yet. Boss is whining, not really sure why, think it is just a requirement to hold a management position. So I finally can't take it anymore and come to my happy place, my bike riding buddies virtual hang out spot, a spot where nobody complains. And this is the first thing I see! GOOD GRIEF! OK, onto my list: 10. Early snow melt (after very snowy January and Febuary) 9. No trails messed up by logging in '07. 8. People who vanished last year to come back. (Glenn, Aaron, Wayne....) 7. Dan to get his trail mojo back. 6. My lawn to burn up for the first time in three years. 5. Zero flats. 4. Warm and dry for the Pinnacle. 3. Get over the second place hump at Great Glenn. 2. The awesome group road trips to continue. 1. The most memorable ride of my life. PS. Kids, can't wait to get home and play. Honey, just pick out whatever camera you want. Mom and Dad, love ya and I will be out this weekend. Aaron, best boss anyone could ask for. [img:7c60f52a7e]http://www.team-pinnacle.org/albums/bc_personal/120x90.png[/img:7c60f52a7e]

The end of the season was a real downer. But the slow approach of cold weather made it easier to slide into the gym and stationary bike mode. Thinking about 2007 I have a few items to put on my list: 1. Keep healthy and fit. Hit gym at least 5 times a week for weights and cardio work. No over winter weight gain and try to get weight stable within 175 to 180 range. 2. Keep the MTB upright and moving like before. 3. Read about and research riding techniques for different situations. Hills, sprints, endurance , single track etc. 4. Maintain my bike better. Pay more attention to cleaning and adjusting it. Learn about little adjustments I can do myself. 5. Events include; Sunapee Road Race, Proudy 100, Maybe the first few Root 66 MTB races. Pinnacle and Pinnacle Challenge, 24 hours of Great Glen but not sure if a 4 person or solo yet, Vermont 50, Kingdom Trails, maybe the Mt. Snow early tri event, the pinnacle stage events, White Mountain ride and anything else someone talks me into. 6. Don?t scratch my new bike. 7. Go as long as I can

I hate to ruin our streak of complaints, but I actually don't have anything to complain about. I feel better than I have in a long time, I am in much better shape than I have been in a long time and I can't wait for next year. Here are my wishes for next year 1: Finishing the my first 1/2 Ironman (Timberman) with a relatively good time 2: Finishing in the top 3 for the 4 person novice at Great Glen 3: Finishing 1st novice at The Pinnacle 4: Being able to do the Timberman, Great Glen and Pinnacle all in August 5: Being in better shape in April than I was at the end of October 6: Being promoted to Sport in EFTA 7: Having an overall successfull racing year in 2007 8: Making all the long team rides (White Mountains, Kingdom Trails, ect...) 9: Making it up to Gilford NH to try the Marsh Monstah before The Timberman 10: Have as much fun as I did in 2006 In case any of you care (I sure do), here is my before (June) and after (today) picture. If my one hope for 2007 can come true all others will fall into place: 1. Learn to continuously train and actually get stronger without having a physical meltdown. Dan I got you covered, I already gained your winter weight, so you don't have to.

Other than the wreath on the wall, I'm having a hard time finding any other changes. :P [img:7c60f52a7e]http://www.team-pinnacle.org/albums/bc_personal/120x90.png[/img:7c60f52a7e]

Happy New Year to everyone at Team Pinnacle. I am officially in the new house now and that whole process is starting to come to an end (thankfully). Hopefully I will see you on the trail or road very soon. My plan is to get back on the training wagon this month, so hopefully by the time spring roles around I won't be suffering trying to keep up. Best wishes to everyone! Let me know when the spin sessions are starting up - I'll be looking for some suffering! Aaron[/list]
