Just wanted to share some photos of our trip to visit my family in Tennessee for Thanksgiving. We got in 4-days of 10-15miles each day with moderately warm weather 50-60s. This is a new riding area that was developed in 2005, the year we moved to NH, so this was my first time riding there. THis site, Raccoon Mtn is about 10 minutes north of Chattanooga and is also finish of two road races in the area. 3-4 miles up at about 7-12% grades along the way. The water on top of the mtn is pumped up from the TN river during off peak power (night) then released onto turbines in the day during peak demand to produce electricity for the area.
