We ride the pinnacle with a small group most weeks (often on Wednesdays), but haven't seen anyone else out there recently. We are riding tonight from the parking lot near the track at 5:00pm. Others are welcome to join.

Welcome to the forum Jesse. For a lot of us the season for riding is winding down but follow the posts others are out there still. I'm out of commission for riding for a while, broke the tip of one of my fingers on Friday. Ryan

Sorry to hear about your injury. We had a fun ride last night, and hope to keep riding until snow come. It is a little treacherous with the leaves, especially on coit-south, but it probably doesn't make much sense to do trail clean-up until spring. I'll keep my eyes on the boards then and plan to hit a trail work day. -Jesse

Jesse, Actually I think 99% of the leaves are down now, that wind storm Saturday took care of them, unfortunately it brought a lot of debris down with it too. Usually the trails get blown again around this time of year. Makes for great fall riding and helps dry out the trails faster now and in the Spring. If you are interested, I'm sure PJ can hook you up with a blower. :D Ryan

I would be up for that. how many blowers do you have? I could probably talk my riding buddies into coming too. Rakes go pretty quickly too if there aren't many blowers. I would be willing to give up or cut short my ride next week to do some trail cleanup. It could be Tuesday or Wednesday evening. I could get there as early as 3:30, but working in the dark with lights is OK too. -Jesse jesse@mcgowans.info 603-581-4104

I'll play that game. Who's responsible for the new bridges on Watkins and Trapper? They're pretty sweet! -Adam

Currier, esq. is responsible. Good stuff. I can probably get the town's blower(maybe 2) hallecks blower, and I have one. With 3 blowers, we could get just about all of it done in an afternoon. Weekday may be better as less hunters would be about. Adam can you make an afternoon next week Tues/Wed? Whomever gets Eastside, its a treat to blow. Usually a good 5 inches of leaves, and it takes about 30 minutes to go 1/2 mile. PJ

we will also need a chainsaw to deal with a large down tree around north boundary/ledge at the top of that short, tricky climb.

I have some Community Paid Time Off that I need to use. I could make Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. -- Ken "If you brake, you don't win." Racer Mario Cipollini

I should be able to get over there for a midweek afternoon (assuming nothing important comes up at work...) Also, my father has retrofitted an old frame-backpack to carry a chainsaw, so if nobody else can get a saw out there I can probably get my hands on that to do the cutting.

Lets shoot for Tuesday at 2:00, We can send an early crew out for an afternoon, getting the Coit stuff and start the Pinnacle stuff, someone can meet Jesse for 3:30 to transfer tools, gas and information of what is left to be done. Outback may need some clippers with a blower. Rakes, blowers needed, and meet North side of track. PJ

Ken, if you can get your hands on a GPS unit, we could hit some of the changes and new stuff early, it's about time to update that map again: - Avery Trail / Coit South - Coit Bypass - Salem's lot reroute - Salem's lot extension to Eastside - Breakburner Extension - Pinnacle Ski Return from Pine Link - Pine Link Reroute - Midway Traverse - New Eastside Extension (still in the works) We can hit everything that's not on the map, and sort out what makes the map later. Yeah, sounds good. That would help out with the whole CPTO thing also. Now, when you say early, do you mean my early, or your early? -- Ken "If you brake, you don't win." Racer Mario Cipollini

I think you already know the answer to that one Ken. How does 9:30am at my house sound? We can meet everyone else at the HS later. Ryan

9:30 sounds good. I could even fit in a ride before that. :) -- Ken "If you brake, you don't win." Racer Mario Cipollini
