Aaron and I plan on riding again this year, weather permitting. Alone in the woods, who stands to be King?

I am hoping to be there; I am supposed to be taking delivery of my kitchen cabinets around that time...

Aaron and I plan to ride off some Turkey while protesting the tide of shopping that takes place around the country this time of year. Haven't decided where, but the Turkey Burner, Cornish and even the Pinnacle have all been discussed. I'll nail down the destination in a later post if anyone is interested. Alone in the woods, who stands to be King?

Sure... I'm up for both Friday and Sunday. FYI to the rider ahead of me down Snake Alley, the one that either went through before the tree fell or went around it. I moved it off the trail and cleaned it up while trying out my new Epic. My Rocky Mountain had a mishap last Tues night at Moody, where the cassette turned, but the wheel didn't. The splines must have been worked to hard and just gave out. Being repaired at CCD.

Sunday looks to be a go, decent weather predicted. Depart Newport at 8:00, ride at 9:30 for a few hours. I can get the van and trailer if the headcount justifies it. Who's in? Here is my guess: Brian[/color:80445c63b9] :) PJ[/color:80445c63b9] :( Mark[/color:80445c63b9] :) Dana[/color:80445c63b9] :) Dan[/color:80445c63b9] :) Nathan[/color:80445c63b9] :( Aaron[/color:80445c63b9] :( [img:7c60f52a7e]http://www.team-pinnacle.org/albums/bc_personal/120x90.png[/img:7c60f52a7e]

Yep, I'm in. Will bring truck and carrier if the headcount doesn't warrant the trailer extravaganza

I'm in, but I'll be taking my own car as I'll not be coming right back after the ride.

Everyone want to meet at Mark's at 7:45? Offer still good for the truck Mark? Should not need the hitch rack. I have the directions to the Wild Rover if folks want some post ride pub grub. [img:7c60f52a7e]http://www.team-pinnacle.org/albums/bc_personal/120x90.png[/img:7c60f52a7e]

No problem, I've never been to the Gurney abode, only know that it is off North Rd. I'm pretty sure I could find it...

Dana, Bottom of the hill, long uphill driveway on the left. Halloween decorations still out as of last weekend. Oops, forgot to mention the street name, Gurnster to the rescue. [img:7c60f52a7e]http://www.team-pinnacle.org/albums/bc_personal/120x90.png[/img:7c60f52a7e]

Right on Hilltop Drive, which is at the top of the hill on North Rd just before it hooks left towards Ryder Corner. #57 is exactly as Brian has described. MG

Great place to ride. Up, down, over, under, round and round, rocks and roots and frozen mud. Two and a half hours of too much fun single track. Followed up with two pints of Guinness and all the Chicken Wings you can eat. Sleep on way home while Mark drives, Sundays don't get much better than this. Great.

We started out with a temp in the low twenties, but quickly warmed up going through the first trail. It was a bunch of great single track off the long double track roads. I was impressed by the dog team that came roaring between us as we were stopped to regroup. The single tracks have many neat little twists and sharp turns up challenging technical areas. The approach to the log roll was rebuilt with a nice rock climb that shoots you up over the top and swooshing down to the bottom FOMBA has done a great job in making this a place to have some fun for several hours.
